Online Alarm Clock
Set an alarm in your browser — it beeps and sends a notification at the time you choose.

How it works
The alarm rings in this tab — keep it open (the tab can be in the background). Your browser may ask for notification permission; allow it so you get a pop-up even when the tab is not focused. It beeps, flashes the screen and shows a full-screen “time is up” state, so you will notice it even with sound muted. Once loaded it works offline, and because it runs on your device clock it stays accurate to the second.
One thing a browser alarm cannot do: wake a sleeping computer. If the lid closes or the device sleeps, the page cannot ring — for wake-up duties keep the screen on, or use a phone. For reminders that count down rather than fire at a clock time, the countdown timer is the better fit.
Common uses
- Wake-up alarm on a laptop — for naps, shift work or hotel mornings when your phone is charging across the room.
- Pomodoro and study blocks — an alarm at a fixed clock time (“stop at 3 PM”) rather than a duration.
- Cooking and laundry reminders — set 18:30 for the oven or when the wash cycle ends.
- Medication and stretch breaks — recurring reminders during a long desk day.
Frequently asked questions
Will the alarm ring if my computer sleeps?
No — browsers cannot wake a sleeping device. Keep the page open and the machine awake; the alarm will then ring on time even in a background tab.
Why allow notifications?
The notification pops the alert over whatever else you are doing, so the alarm works even if you are in another tab or app. Without permission it still rings inside its own tab.
Alarm or timer — which one?
Choose the alarm for a moment in time (“7:30 AM”) and the timer for a duration (“in 25 minutes”). Both are free and need no installation.
