Islamic calendar by year
The Hijri (Islamic) calendar is a lunar calendar of twelve months and roughly 354 days, which is why Islamic dates fall about eleven days earlier each Gregorian year. Months begin with the sighting of the new crescent moon, so dates can vary by a day between countries. Related: prayer times, Qibla finder, holidays and festivals and the Eid al-Fitr countdown.
